Joy Global (JOYG) announced its quarterly earnings yesterday. The stock rallied sharply but to drift lower by session close. The earning outlook was raised, it’s a hot company. strong momentum, touching 52wks high and everything else seemed in place, well, Mr Market didn’t think so. So at OPN, an alert for bonus speculative trade was sent…It did for very little time but it fell also and some of my orders were triggered already. It gave that chance once again today and rest is history:
I had multiple trade prices on June 90 calls, ranging from $0.45 to $0.85. I sold those for a range from $0.90 to $1.30. I also Bot Jun 85 calls this morning for $2.35, sold for $3.40. Profit +44% in few hrs. Then I also bot Jul 90 calls from $1.65 to $2.10, currently open and trading for $3.15, profit nearly +50% (unrealized, of course)
My estimate is that it should find next level of meaningful resistance at $90 and therefore I may (en)Joy this one once again. I shall be keeping it on radar as a break-out play.
