Outperformance Continues, OPN Oct’12 +11.9%

Confusion, hopes, wishes and churn is all that’s continuing in the markets.  As recently observed, there were two >88% downdays during the past 6 trading sessions (first since Jun’12). The sell signal is continuing and the blue chips’ earnings are not encouraging. For all the hopes-n-dreams, there is Bernanke Put that’s supporting market prices, but for long it can support it remains to be seen. As I shared during the last update, I have stopped using fundamental/value analysis of the market as it doesn’t matter these days (sometime in future it will matter again, guaranteed). As of now valuations are overstretched and markets are overbought and It doesn’t matter what you and I think, what matters is Uncle Ben and how long he can keep the markets buoyed (with or without real action).  So, I will dance to the music he is playing, but I will be dancing closer to the door.  Bottomline – I am not long equities. We are primarily trading VOLATILITY and NON-DIRECTIONAL income trading strategies. The key objective is to preserve capital while gradually building gains as oppose to trading in hopes-n-dreams and lose capital.

It was another double digit gains’ month for OP Income Newsletter. OPN Oct 2012 portfolios delivered +11.9% gains; anticipating market moves, we were slowly investing capital for the Nov’12 and have profitably closed CREE, AKAM, UPS portfolios.  The earning season is in full swing  and we’ll take advantage of those event driven opportunities. These results exclude P&L on OPNExtra! trades (which is offered as FREE to OPN Members).

Subscription are open and there is no wait listing fee. The objective is still the same as it was 60 months ago i.e. 5-7% monthly gains. OP Income Newsletter is NOT a GET-RICH-QUICK-NEWSLETTER. The market neutral and volatility strategies that we trade are scalable and diversified. Try it completely RISK FREE i.e. there is no subscription fee for your first month if OPN doesn’t make money.

Here are some latest thoughts from one of the OP Income Newsletter member-

Overall, my brief experience with OptionPundit was positive. I’m still in the beginning stages of learning about option trading. I appreciated the variety of trades, which motivated me to understand more complex, lesser used trading strategies. Your commentary on each trade was informative, giving me better insights on when to enter and exit a trade. Since I auto-traded multiple newsletters in the same account, the large number of trades from OP occasionally created position conflicts with other trades with the same strike and underlying. But I could have easily remedied this by trading OP in a separate account. Overall, you run an excellent service.
Warmest regards,
Mark, TX, USA
