Earnings are a gamble at best. Had you placed an Iron Condor on GOOG's earnings like you did before, you would have suffered maximum loss on the positions which is something like $10,000 for me. Luckily I didn't placed it. I even cleared my calendar spread a day before. Most professional traders clear out positions prior to earnings if possible or leave 10% in there just in case. If you regret missing on GOOG here what you can still play

Both these giants will outweigh GOOG.

Earnings are a gamble at best. Had you placed an Iron Condor on GOOG’s earnings like you did before, you would have suffered maximum loss on the positions which is something like $10,000 for me. Luckily I didn’t placed it. I even cleared my calendar spread a day before.

Most professional traders clear out positions prior to earnings if possible or leave 10% in there just in case.
